Densification
During the service of the material, the residual pores and microcracks inside the material are not only the initiation point of fracture, but also the initiation point of wear and corrosion. In complex working environments such as aircraft engines, nuclear reactors, and heavy gas turbines, once the material breaks and fails, it will cause extremely serious consequences. After hot isostatic pressing treatment, the internal structure of the material is densified, the pores and defects are all disappeared, forming a uniform and dense whole, which greatly improves the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and fatigue strength of the material.
In the casting process, due to the uneven temperature diffusion during material cooling, internal looseness, segregation, shrinkage, microcracks and other inherent defects of the process will occur, which will reduce the material performance, service life and stability. Similarly, in the metal injection molding and 3D printing process, there are also problems of loose internal structure of materials and residual defects.
Hot isostatic pressing densification treatment refers to castings, injection molding or 3D printing products and other internal defects of the product, as for the high temperature environment, through the inert gas as the force transmission medium, the equivalent isostatic pressure is applied to it, forcing the product to deform under the solid phase, diffusion at the atomic level, internal pores and microcracks disappear, in order to eliminate the internal fracture initiation point (stress concentration point) of the material, thereby greatly improving the overall performance of the product。
Powdered high-speed steel:

Extremely high hardness (HRC 63~70) can be obtained, and it can still maintain high hardness (HRC 60 or more) and high wear resistance at 550~600 °C, its main use is to manufacture cutting tools for various machine tools, but also partially used in high-load molds, aviation high-temperature bearings and special heat-resistant wear-resistant parts.
Powder high-speed steel, due to its good organizational uniformity and carbide-free segregation characteristics, makes up for the innate defects of ordinary high-speed steel, and uses hot isostatic pressing equal pressure in all directions to comprehensively improve the quality and performance of steel.
